Who carries out work done by The Boiler Company?

All our work is completed by our handpicked network of qualified Gas Safe registered engineers. The Gas Safe Register is the sole official gas registration company in the UK and all relevant businesses legally must be on this register.

How quickly can you arrange my annual boiler service?

Once you have requested your service, we guarantee to complete the work within 30 days. We will provide you with your appointment slot as soon as possible. If you need to make changes to this time slot, please let us know.

Is there an age limit on the boilers you will service?

For your added convenience, we are happy to service boilers of any age; we don’t specify any upper or lower age limits.

Do you only service boilers that run on natural gas?

We only service boilers fueled by natural gas or LPG (liquid petroleum gas).

 

 

Are you VAT registered?

We are a VAT registered company, so all prices stated are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise specified. Our VAT number is 218 5122 29.

What if I am unhappy with the service I have received?

We recommend that if you have any reservations regarding any of the services you have received, you should contact us immediately by phone, post or email.

What do I do if my boiler breaks down?

In the event of a breakdown, please give us a call on 0333 2343 247 (open 24 hours) so we can arrange an engineer to attend. Alternatively, if you are an existing customer, you can log into the ‘My Account’ section of our website and report your fault there.

As a nationwide company, we’re proud to be able to successfully and efficiently service the whole of the UK.

How much do your boiler service plans cost?

Depending on the type of plan you require, our prices range from £11.29 per month for a starter plan, through to our Premium plan which is £26.29 per month. View all our service plans here

How much does it cost to install a new boiler?

It really depends on the type and make of boiler you need or want fitted, but prices generally start from around £1500 for a budget option, including installation.

Do you have any tips to help me prepare my boiler for cold weather?

One key thing to remember is to give your boiler a chance to warm up a little before it has to work hard over the winter. Turn it onto a low setting for a brief period of time and do this a few times before the weather gets cold. This means you can make sure it’s in good working order before you really need it, and if it’s not, get it fixed. More tips can be found here.

How efficient is an A-rated boiler?

Having an A-rated boiler installed means that it is 90% and above in efficiency. This means that of all the energy produced, only 10% (or less) is wasted. This can in turn help to save you money. Contact us for a free quote.

I’m a landlord, what are my legal responsibilities when it comes to gas safety?

As a landlord, you need to adhere to various legal guidelines and safety standards for the protection of your tenants. An important document you will need is the Landlord Gas Safety Certificate. This proves that your appliances are being maintained and serviced on a regular basis. This is a service we offer; find out more here.

What boiler certificates should I ask for if I move into a new house?

You should request the following: a valid energy performance certificate, an installation certificate and a gas certificate showing the boiler’s inspection history. These will let you know how old the boiler is, and how well it’s previously been looked after. More detail can be found here.

When you join us, you’ll be provided with a login to the ‘My Account’ area of our website. From here, you can access all your personal information that we hold, plus your plan details. You can log any faults and book repairs through your account too.
